I’m an eternally optimistic, nerdy, tattooed, chubby, 20-year-old atheist from Ontario, Canada (the best place ever). I have a normal job, but I'm also a writer and artist. I have a cat named Luna whom I love more than anything, I collect animal teeth and bones, and Halloween is my favourite day of the year. My main interests are (in no order) history, fall, horror, reading, writing, antiques, tea, folk metal, cute animals, weird animals, rum, learning, Canadian culture, Nintendo, cartoons, and anime and manga. I love being alone, but I also love talking to people so feel free to send me a message.

New Fact of the Day #98: There are two kinds of dash. The en dash is used to mean range (ex: 10:00–11:00 a.m.). The em dash is used to pause between two thoughts in a single sentence (ex: “before long it would’ve hit the tidal shelf and been carried out to sea—Tim pictured his frozen corpse bumping along the shore”). Both dashes are larger than a hyphen.
[Em dash example from ‘The Troop’ by Nick Cutter/Craig Davidson. I couldn’t think of an example myself.]

New Fact of the Day #96: Alpaca fur is flame resistant
New Fact of the Day #95: The first Macy’s Parade balloon was the adorable Felix the Cat in the late 1920s. The Felix balloon replaced live zoo animals, which had been used in earlier Macy’s parades.
