I’m an eternally optimistic, nerdy, tattooed, chubby, 20-year-old atheist from Ontario, Canada (the best place ever). I have a normal job, but I'm also a writer and artist. I have a cat named Luna whom I love more than anything, I collect animal teeth and bones, and Halloween is my favourite day of the year. My main interests are (in no order) history, fall, horror, reading, writing, antiques, tea, folk metal, cute animals, weird animals, rum, learning, Canadian culture, Nintendo, cartoons, and anime and manga. I love being alone, but I also love talking to people so feel free to send me a message.

NFotD #131: ‘Orangutan’ translates to “forest person” in the Malay language
NFotD #130: Icelandic police have only killed one person in the republic’s history. The kill was justified (the man was shooting at police), but police still apologized to his family.
NFotD #129: Tsutomu Yamaguchi is the only officially documented survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atom bombs. Violet Jessop survived the sinking of the Titanic, and then later the sinking of the Brittanic. Both Yamaguchi and Jessop lived into their 90s and 80s, respectively.
NFotD #128: NASCAR was invented in part by moonshine smugglers. Their experiences out-driving federal agents had turned them into incredible stock car racers.
NFotD #127: In the 50s, the church of Scientology tried to recruit Walt Disney, among others. Disney summarily refused.
