That is why, in the nursery rhyme ‘Yankee Doodle’, a man “[sticks] a feather in his hat and [calls] it Macaroni” (since Macaroni wigs were famously poofy and dramatic). Bonus Fact: ‘Yankee Doodle’ was eventually shortened to ‘dood’, then ‘dude’, which is where we get that word from.
Relax, everyone. Hello Kitty IS a cat. In the cartoon world, four-legged animals are allowed to walk on two legs. And they’re allowed to have animal pets. Just look at Mickey Mouse, a bipedal mouse who owns a pet dog. If Mickey Mouse can be a mouse, then Hello Kitty can be a kitty.
NFotD #129: Tsutomu Yamaguchi is the only officially documented survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atom bombs. Violet Jessop survived the sinking of the Titanic, and then later the sinking of the Brittanic. Both Yamaguchi and Jessop lived into their 90s and 80s, respectively.
